Agritourism is a way to connect consumers with farms to help them understand the value of agriculture and Kansas agricultural producers through recreational, entertainment and/or educational activities. It is also an important method for diversifying farm income and positively impacting local economies.
Some examples of activities include outdoor recreation, farming, ranching, historic, cultural, or natural attractions on working farms, ranches, lodges, outfitters, wineries and other agricultural operations and opportunities to shop, dine or stay in Kansas.
Kansas agritourism businesses can register with Kansas Tourism to benefit from promotions and limited liability coverage with posting of appropriate signage. Registrations must be renewed every 5 years.
