K-State Extension and Engagement Annual Conference Award Nominations Due Aug. 15

July 7, 2026

Submitted by Jennifer Wilson

Each year, our colleagues demonstrate outstanding dedication, creativity, and leadership in support of extension and engagement across Kansas and beyond. The annual conference awards provide an opportunity to recognize those efforts and celebrate the meaningful difference they make in our communities.

I’m pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the awards to be presented at the K-State Extension and Engagement Annual Conference in October.

These awards recognize individuals and teams whose work reflects innovation, collaboration and a lasting commitment to serving others. I encourage you to consider the colleagues whose contributions have inspired you and take a few moments to submit a nomination. If you believe your own work deserves recognition, self-nominations are also welcome.

Taking the time to recognize a colleague is more than acknowledging a job well done; it helps strengthen a culture that values excellence, encourages new ideas, and celebrates the impact we make together.

Recognizing outstanding work not only honors past accomplishments but also inspires continued growth and innovation across our organization.

This year, 14 award categories will highlight initiatives and achievements that exemplify innovative, sustained community engagement and demonstrate meaningful impact for both the university and our community partners.

To submit a nomination, please visit the Annual Conference Awards website. Nominations must be received by August 15, so I encourage you to begin thinking now about the individuals and teams whose work deserves to be celebrated.

Thank you for helping recognize the exceptional talent, dedication, and service that define K-State Extension and Engagement. I look forward to celebrating this year's award recipients with all of you in October.
