K-State’s Division of Financial Services released the following travel reimbursement update, effective July 1.
There are a few updates to be aware of as you plan your travels for Fiscal Year 2027. Many Concur updates went live today. You can learn more about those here.
The K-State Concur team wanted to take this time to also highlight a few changes on reimbursements and rates as we enter into Fiscal Year 2027. These updates are in effect as of July 1.
- PPM 6410 has been revised to align with IRS requirements for timely reimbursement. This revision requires submission of travel expense reports within 180 days of the traveler’s return date. Expense reports with out-of-pocket expenses submitted after 180 days may be treated as taxable income, unless an exception is approved.
- The state has updated Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE) reimbursement to 75% of the daily rate for the first and last days of overnight travel.
- The mileage rate has increased for privately owned vehicles to 72.5 cents per mile.
