Call for Proposals - Women Grow the Farm Conference
August 11, 2026
Submitted by Lavell Winsor
Planning for the 2027 Women Grow the Farm Conference is officially
underway. Organizers want to hear from potential participants before
starting to build the agenda.
Every year, one of the best parts of Women Grow the Farm is hearing
from speakers who leave us with practical ideas, fresh perspectives
and the encouragement to keep growing. Many of those incredible
speakers were recommended by members of the K-State Extension
community.
That's why we're opening up speaker suggestions for 2027. Our online
submission form is at https://www.womengrowthefarm.com/proposal-
submission-form.
Is there someone you've heard speak who left a lasting impression?
Maybe it's someone you've learned from online, worked alongside, or
have always thought, "More people need to hear her story."
Whether they're a producer, business owner, educator, researcher,
advocate, or leader in agriculture, we'd love to know who you think
should take the stage.
Not sure what types of sessions we're looking for? Here are just a few
of the topics we've explored at past conferences:
- Farm business and financial management
- Leadership and communication
- Succession and transition planning.
- Marketing and direct-to-consumer sales.
- Mental health and resilience.
- Agritourism and diversification.
- Building confidence as a woman in agriculture.
- Balancing family, farming and career.
- Advocacy and telling agriculture's story.
- Farm safety.
- Ranching and livestock management.
- Crop production and agronomy.
- Technology and innovation in agriculture.
- Soil health and sustainability.
- Entrepreneurship and small business growth.
Of course, we're always excited to discover new ideas, too. If there's a
topic you think would encourage, equip or challenge women in
agriculture, we want to hear about it.
Women Grow the Farm has always been shaped by this community,
and that's what makes it so special. Thank you for helping us create
another conference that leaves attendees feeling inspired, connected,
and ready to head home with ideas they can put into practice.
We can't wait to hear from you!
