September 8, 2026

Submitted by Candis Stiles

After 29 years of dedicated service with K-State Extension’s office Shawnee County, Joanne Domme will be retiring on Sept. 30.

Since 2017, Joanne has served as the Shawnee County Extension office bookkeeper. Prior to that role, she was the agriculture and horticulture office professional, serving our community and extension programs. Joanne has not only supported our local office, but has also been a valued resource for office professionals across Kansas who had questions on the bookkeeping role. Her willingness to answer questions, share guidance, and assist others has contributed greatly to Extension.

Please join us in celebrating Joanne's career at a retirement reception on Sept. 25 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Shawnee County Extension office, 1740 SW Western Avenue in Topeka.

If you would like to send Joanne a card or note of appreciation, please mail it to the Shawnee County Extension office.

We are grateful for Joanne's many years of service and dedication and wish her all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter in her life. Congratulations, Joanne, on your retirement.
