Shout Out: Darla Deaton, Butler County
September 8, 2026
Submitted by Gregg Hadley
This week, the Shout Out is from the Butler County extension agents, and is sent for Darla Deaton, Butler County finance secretary.
They write:
“We would like to give a special shout-out to our finance secretary, Darla Deaton, for her outstanding flexibility, dedication and willingness to step up when our office needed her most.
“At the start of the county fair, we were short a front office staff member. Darla embraced the challenge without hesitation and quickly stepped into additional responsibilities. Throughout the fair, she willingly learned new procedures, took on unfamiliar tasks and helped ensure our office continued to operate smoothly and successfully.
“Even now that the fair has come to an end, Darla has continued that same momentum and positive attitude. We are thankful for Darla and all that she does for our office.”
