Shout Out: James Coover

September 15, 2026

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

This week, the Shout Out is from Krista Harding, Southwind Extension district director, and is sent for James Coover, Wildcat Extension District crop production agent.

Krista writes:

“A big shout-out to James Coover, Wildcat Extension District crop production agent, for taking the lead to bring the southeast ag agents together to discuss programming and collaboration.

“James reached out to agents to revive the idea of having a regional planning meeting before the programming year begins, to share what we're working on, coordinate programming efforts, and brainstorm new ideas.

“Thank you, James, for making the effort to bring everyone to the table and encourage teamwork across southeast Kansas. We appreciate your initiative and the reminder that we're all better when we share ideas and work together. Thank you!”

James -- thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Extension.

If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu.

Shout Out submissions are published in the order they are received.
