Expert Programs in Pests, Weeds, and Diseases

K-State Research and Extension Specialists are experts on insects, plant diseases, weeds and related topics.

Our Plant Disease Diagnostic Lab helps homeowners, farmers and commercial growers get to the bottom of their plant health problems. With an accurate diagnosis from our team, we can provide expertise and resources to assist your disease management efforts. As part of a network of diagnostic labs, we can assess disease forecasts and trends.

Our team of entomology specialists offer support through insect identification services, 4-H and Youth programs, pesticide safety training and application certification. Our integrated pest management approach provides information on insects and other pests of gardens, crops, stored grain, livestock, buildings and human health. We provide additional services and resources to special interest groups and agribusinesses.

The Weed Management extension faculty can assist in weed identification and management decisions. Weed problems and weed management technologies are constantly evolving and changing. By understanding your weed needs, we can help guide your decisions.
